Being able to compare Onkyo TX-SR393 and Marantz SR5013 gave us an insight into what of them would be better for home theater configuration. According to the results of our review, Onkyo TX-SR393 received 5.2 points out of 10 possible, and Marantz SR5013 was rated 8.6 points. The release date of TX-SR393 is 2019, and SR5013 is 2018. SR5013 is more performable in terms of audio broadcast than the TX-SR393.
For the built-in amplifier, the devices received different marks - 6 and 8, respectively, on a 10-point scale.
The number of channels is equal to the number of possible connected speakers. The Onkyo TX-SR393 supports 5.2-channels sound, but Marantz SR5013 supports a 7.2-channels configuration.

After reviewing the audio features of each model, we can rate the TX-SR393 6 out of 10, and the SR5013 - 10.
Bi-amping is the amplification of one speaker with two amplifiers. This amplification method has a positive effect on sound quality. Bi-amping is possible on the SR5013.
Pure Direct mode feeds sound directly to the amplifier and bypasses any DSP processing. Only Marantz SR5013 has Pure Direct mode.
Most receivers now come with a microphone included. It is with the help of this microphone that the auto-calibration system functions, which adjusts the sound of the receiver to the room.
Speaker A/B switching allows you to change between the main and sub speaker set. Marantz SR5013 can work with the main and additional set of speakers - and switch between them.
